13 October 2018, 13:00 - 13 October 2018, 18:00
Cool Spring Downtown District, 222 Hay Street
Fayetteville, NC 28301 United States

Historic Tours of Olde Fayetteville by Horse and Carriage will be offered on Saturday, October 13, from 1pm to 6pm.  The tour will depart from the Cool Spring Downtown District office at 222 Hay Street across from the Cameo Theater. Tickets are $25 for adults or $20 with a military ID and $15 for children under 12.  Tickets may be purchased at 222 Hay Street on the day of the event, but reservations are recommended.

If you want to make a reservation and order your tickets now, call City Center Gallery & Books at 910-678-8899.

On your 45-minute tour, you will travel to numerous sites where scenes from our city’s colorful and rich past have unfolded. Your tour guide will discuss sites connected with our city’s founding more than 250 years ago, our role in the Revolutionary War and the Civil War, and Fayetteville’s building boom that followed the coming of the railroad. This is a fun way to learn more about your city, especially if you are new to this area. And even if you have lived here a long time, you will be surprised at the new things you will discover!   If you have out-of-town guests, this is a great way to entertain them as you explore our historic downtown.

Horses and driver are provided by S and S Carriage Rides, professionals who have been doing tours and weddings for many years. They use heavy-duty draft horses bred for pulling, and they follow strict safety guidelines for their “babies.” Their “limousine wagon” is very comfortable, and the overhead canopy will protect you from the weather.

The next Historic Tours of Olde Fayetteville by Horse and Carriage is scheduled for Saturday, November 10.
