Fayetteville Arts & Entertainment District
Request for Qualifications (RFQ) – Logo Design
Deadline for Submissions: March 27, 2017
Purpose & Goals:
The Downtown Alliance and the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County are moving forward with the development of an Arts & Entertainment (A&E) District in the City’s Central Core. The A&E District plan was recently approved by both organizations and was accepted by the City of Fayetteville. The district will be the vibrant center of artistic, cultural, civic and commercial activity; a place where people live, work, frequently visit and loyally patronize; a robust generator of economic prosperity for all Cumberland County residents. The expected launch date is July 2017.
The A&E District Promotions Work Group is seeking a striking logo design for the district, which can be adapted for a variety of reproduction media, and is either adapted by the original artist into recognizably related logos or may be easily adapted for that purpose. The logo will be one of the most important pieces of our visual brand, widely seen and used in connection with the district, receiving much local and regional media attention. A total of $1,500 has been allocated for the initial design and production of the district’s logo and style guide. In addition to payment, the logo designer will be fully and publicly credited through the Arts Council website, media releases, and photo opportunities at the time of unveiling of the logo or district.
